- Unveiling the Health Benefits of Irish Sea Moss
Have you ever heard of a superfood that's a powerhouse of nutrients and can transform your health in unimaginable ways? Let me introduce you to Irish Sea moss, a hidden gem from the ocean depths. My journey with Irish Sea moss began when I was searching for a natural way to heal psoriasis and something for teenage acne, for my daughter. What I discovered was nothing short of a miracle. This humble seaweed, also known as Chondrus Crispus, is packed with incredible health benefits. I was suffering with my skin health and hadn’t had any relief from anything I had previously tried! I started the Irish sea moss by the moss way along with a Tremella mushroom, within 4 weeks my skin had started to clear up! The same kind of thing for my daughter. She was suffering with hormonal acne on her face and back. Again, she started taking the Irish sea moss capsules, and within 4 week her skin had cleared up! Rock grown, lab tested Irish sea moss Chondrus crispus has compounds that are natural pre and probiotic with digestive enzymes. This means this lab tested Irish sea moss is incredible for your gut health. Fighting off the ‘bad’ bacteria, feeding the ‘good’ bacteria and bringing balance to your gut health. The latest research shows a powerful connection between your gut health and physical and mental dis-ease. Healthy gut, healthy happy body and mind! So, what makes Irish Sea moss a superfood? Here are just some of its amazing health benefits: It's a great natural source of essential vitamins and minerals. It supports a healthy immune system. It aids in digestion. It promotes healthy skin. It boosts your energy. It promotes health thyroid function. When looking for a sea moss supplement, be that Irish Sea moss or Caribbean sea moss, there are some things to look out for! 1. E nsure the sea moss is NOT rope grown! Rope grown moss is not as nutritionally dense naturally grown sea moss. This is due to the rope not containing minerals! Rock grown moss is nutritionally dense due to the minerals the moss has grown from 2. Lab tested for heavy metals and impurities! It’s no secret our oceans are not as clean as what they once were. This means sea moss supplements can be contaminated with heavy metals and impurities. Making sure your Irish sea moss is lab tested is vital to ensuring your not using high in heavy metal, supplements! 3. Lab tested for nutrients! Because so many brands of sea moss use rope grown moss, ensuring your Irish sea moss is lab tested for its nutritional value is key to ensuring your using a quality Irish sea moss that is actually going to benefit you! The best ab tested Irish sea moss One of the things that sets the Irish Sea moss I use and recommend, apart from the rest is the rigorous lab testing it undergoes. The Natural Edge: Advantages of Food-Extracted Supplements Over Synthetic Alternatives In our quest for optimal health and wellness, dietary supplements have become a staple for many. They promise to fill nutritional gaps, boost energy, and support overall well-being. However, not all supplements are created equal. There's a growing debate between food-extracted supplements and their synthetic counterparts, with an increasing number of health enthusiasts leaning towards the former. But what exactly sets food-extracted supplements apart, and why might they be the better choice for your health journey? Let's delve into the advantages of opting for nature’s own offerings. 1. Bioavailability and Absorption One of the primary advantages of food-extracted supplements is their superior bioavailability. This term refers to the extent and rate at which the active ingredients are absorbed and utilized by the body. Nutrients derived from whole foods are often more easily recognized and absorbed by the body compared to synthetic versions. This is largely because food-extracted supplements come with a natural matrix of co-factors, such as enzymes and other nutrients, that facilitate absorption and enhance the effectiveness of the primary nutrient. 2. Synergistic Benefits In nature, nutrients don’t exist in isolation; they work synergistically to promote health. For example, vitamin C from whole foods is accompanied by a range of bioflavonoids and other phytochemicals that enhance its function and absorption. This synergy is often lost in synthetic supplements, which typically offer a single, isolated nutrient - ascorbic acid. By choosing food-extracted supplements, you benefit from this natural synergy, potentially leading to greater health outcomes. 3. Reduced Risk of Toxicity Synthetic supplements, especially when consumed in high doses, can sometimes lead to toxicity or adverse side effects. This is partly because the body is not accustomed to processing isolated, high-concentration nutrients. In contrast, food-extracted supplements tend to have a more balanced nutrient profile, reducing the risk of overconsumption and toxicity. They provide nutrients in a form that the body is naturally equipped to handle. 4. Whole Food Benefits Food-extracted supplements often retain the benefits of the whole food from which they are derived. This includes essential fibers, antioxidants, and other phytonutrients that play vital roles in maintaining health. These components are usually absent in synthetic supplements, which focus on isolated compounds. The comprehensive nutrient profile of food-extracted supplements can support various aspects of health beyond just the targeted deficiency. 5. Fewer Additives and Fillers Synthetic supplements often contain artificial additives, fillers, and preservatives to enhance shelf life, taste, bioavailability or appearance. These can include dyes, artificial sweeteners, and chemical stabilizers, some of which have no safety data on human consumption, which may not be ideal for those seeking a cleaner, more natural lifestyle. Food-extracted supplements are generally free from these artificial additives, offering a more natural and often safer choice for consumers. 6. Environmental and Ethical Considerations Choosing food-extracted supplements can also be an environmentally and ethically responsible choice. These supplements are often derived from sustainably sourced whole foods, supporting agricultural practices that are kinder to the planet. Additionally, many companies producing food-extracted supplements prioritize fair trade and ethical sourcing, ensuring that the communities involved in their production benefit fairly. AS they are foot extracted they also leave no pollutant residues. 7. Alignment with Natural Diets For individuals following specific dietary philosophies, such as organic, vegan, or paleo, food-extracted supplements are often more aligned with these lifestyles. They offer a way to supplement diets while staying true to the principles of consuming natural, minimally processed foods. In conclusion, while synthetic supplements may offer convenience and often come at a lower price point, the advantages of food-extracted supplements are compelling. They offer a more natural, holistic approach to supplementation, aligning closely with the body’s innate nutritional requirements. By embracing the power of nature, you may find a more effective and harmonious path to health and wellness. I have been using the brand Earthier for almost 2 years (as of writing this). - Healing with earthing: The benefits of earthing
In our fast-paced, technology-driven world, many of us have become increasingly disconnected from nature. This disconnection can manifest in various physical and mental health issues. However, a simple practice known as "earthing" or "grounding" is gaining popularity as a way to reconnect with the Earth and promote healing and well-being. In this blog post, we'll explore what earthing is, how it works, and the benefits of using an earthing sheet or mat. What is Earthing? Earthing, also known as grounding, is the practice of physically connecting with the Earth. This can be done by walking barefoot on natural surfaces such as grass, sand, or soil, or by using specialized products designed to facilitate a connection with the Earth's energy. The fundamental idea behind earthing is that direct physical contact with the Earth allows the transfer of electrons from the ground into the body, which can help neutralize free radicals and reduce inflammation. How Does Earthing Work? The Earth has a natural, subtle electrical charge that is essential to the health of all living organisms. Our bodies operate electrically – the heart, brain, nervous system, and immune system all rely on electrical signals to function correctly. In today's world, we are often insulated from the Earth's energy by synthetic materials like rubber-soled shoes and buildings. Earthing helps to restore this lost connection and balance the body's electrical environment. When you make direct contact with the Earth, electrons flow into your body, which can have numerous health benefits. These electrons are believed to act as antioxidants, neutralizing harmful free radicals that contribute to inflammation and disease. ### Benefits of Earthing Research into earthing is still emerging, but many people report a wide range of benefits, including: 1. Reduction in Inflammation : Studies suggest that earthing can reduce inflammation by neutralizing free radicals. This can be beneficial for chronic inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis. 2. Improved Sleep : Many people report better sleep quality after earthing, possibly due to the regulation of cortisol levels and alignment of the body's circadian rhythm. 3. Enhanced Mood and Energy Levels : Connecting with the Earth's energy can lead to improved mood and increased energy, potentially reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. 4. Faster Recovery from Exercise : Athletes and fitness enthusiasts may experience quicker recovery times and reduced muscle soreness. 5. Reduced Stress : Earthing can promote relaxation and reduce stress by calming the nervous system. ### Benefits of an Earthing Sheet For those who can't regularly go barefoot outdoors, an earthing sheet is a convenient alternative. An earthing sheet is a conductive sheet that you place on your bed, allowing you to connect with the Earth's energy while you sleep. These sheets are typically made with conductive silver threads and are connected to the ground port of a standard electrical outlet or directly to the Earth via a grounding rod. Some benefits of using an earthing sheet include: Convenience : You can enjoy the benefits of earthing without leaving the comfort of your home. - Improved Sleep Quality : Many users report deeper, more restful sleep when using an earthing sheet. - Pain Relief : Regular use of an earthing sheet may help reduce pain and inflammation. - Overall Well-being : By reconnecting with the Earth's energy, you may experience enhanced overall health and well-being. Conclusion Earthing is a simple, natural practice that can offer a wide range of health benefits. Whether you choose to walk barefoot outside or use an earthing sheet, reconnecting with the Earth's energy can be a powerful tool for healing and wellness. As research into this fascinating area continues to grow, more people are likely to discover the profound effects of earthing on both physical and mental health. Embrace the healing power of the Earth and see how it can transform your life. If you don't have 30 minutes a day for earthing here is a link for grounding sheets and mats .

Shilajit for liver health One study conducted on rats showed shilajit to help improve liver health. A group of rats were fed a high fat diet to cause fatty liver - these rats were then split into 5 groups. The groups whom were treatment with shilajit saw an improvement in liver health. This suggests shilajit could be used as a potent treatment for non alcohol induced fatty liver. Shilajit for epilepsy A study carried out on mice and rats showed after 15 days of being treated with shilajit - seizures were significantly inhibited. Shilajit for gastric lesions In one study , scientists intentionally caused gastric lesions in rats, using aspirin. For 4 consecutive days they treated rats with different medicines. Shilajit has been said to be an injury and muscular pain reliefer, but not enough studies can been conducted for science to confirm this. However a study carried out in 2011 shows ' These results show that Shilajit has inhibitory effects on the SG neurons of Vc through chloride ion channels by activation of the glycine receptor and GABA(A) receptor, indicating that Shilajit contains sedating ingredients for the central nervous system. These results also suggest that Shilajit may be a potential target for modulating orofacial pain processing' Another study shows shilajit to reduce pain in mice as much as medicated analgesics such as diclofenac but not as much as morphine. Shilajit for radiation protection. Shilajit could offer protection from radiation due to it's potent anti-oxidant protection, according to one study conducted on zebrafish. - Fibromyalgia - Is it forever?
Fibromyalgia, also known as FMS - Fibromyalgia syndrome is a chronic pain disorder with an endless list of other symptoms. The cause of fibromyalgia is still unknown. Not everyone with fibromyalgia has all fibromyalgia symptoms - but there are common fibromyalgia symptoms that most people diagnosed has. Common fibromyalgia symptoms include: Muscular skeletal chronic pain - the pain ranges from an awareness where you can still life, to excruciating pain where even a soft sheet touching your skin can hurt! Fatigue - Chronic fatigue waking up feeling like you have never slept Fibro fog - Brain fog can cause you to forget what you're saying half way through a sentence. Forget what you're doing, forget words, get words back to front Stiffness in muscles and joints, tender, localised muscle pain. Insomnia - unable to get to sleep or stay asleep IBS and other digestive issues are common with fibromyalgia Heightened sensitivity to sound, light, temperatures and odours Headaches Anxiety, depression Symptoms and severity can vary from day to day with fibromyalgia making it difficult for the sufferer but also for those around you. It can be difficult to comprehend how someone can be in so much pain one day then seemingly appear ok the next - This can be frustrating for all and can add tension in relationships. How is fibromyalgia diagnosed? Fibromyalgia is a diagnosis of elimination. This means you are tested for 'other things' first and ruled out. Eventually you are referred to a rheumatologist. Personally, my diagnosis was done after all the initial rule out tests, the rheumatologist then went on to touch tender spot on my body and finally x-ray'ed my feet where I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. From those I have worked with who were diagnosed with fibromyalgia this is a pretty standard way of diagnosing fibromyalgia How can you treat fibromyalgia? Here in the UK most G.P and consultants will prescribe a cocktail of medications for fibromyalgia symptoms from pain relief to anti- depressants to mask symptoms. Sadly that is all they do - mask symptoms and offer little relief. For myself and lots of fibromyalgia sufferers I have worked with, medications for fibromyalgia have offered little to no relief. If anything most seem to create new symptoms that then require more medications. This vicious circle can be hard to break and most people don't know how to get out of it! The NHS do suggest ( on their website ) lifestyle changes such as exercise and relaxation. I personally was never recommended this by the consultant I was seeing. I have however, now been over 5 years without any masking, without toxic medications for fibromyalgia, without fibromyalgia symptoms and without fibromyalgia flare ups! Over 5 years!! No Gate keeping here: Here is the blueprint I have used to be over 5 years fibromyalgia flare up free! How do you treat fibromyalgia symptoms? My healing fibromyalgia journey started after healing mental dis-ease of body dysmorphia and bulimia, After a 7 stone weight loss I developed body dysmorphia and bulimia. I believe this was due to my weight loss only being about the physical body - the weight. I hadn't touched the root cause, the reason I was using food as a comfort and therefore over eating. This is why my weight loss lead to an eating disorder - In my opinion. A large part of healing was healing trauma energy! I believe this was also a key part to healing fibromyalgia too! Healing fibromyalgia for me looked like this: Healing gut health - you are what you eat! Alkaline diet and probiotics! Exercise - starting with walking, stretches now I can lift 110kg in the gym! Even laughter yoga is amazing, especially for those who are less mobile. Healing trauma energy- for me this was healing abandonment issues, childhood bullying and building my self worth. Mindfulness - being present in the moment, trying to consciously reduce stress (easier said then done!) You can see more options here. Fibromyalgia - What we do know! The cause and trigger of fibromyalgia is not yet understood. For many years it was believed fibromyalgia was a neurological diseases - hence fibromyalgia being labelled 'All in your head'. There is still no confirmation as to what fibromyalgia actually is or it's cause. Many people believe fibromyalgia is the name given to people with chronic pain - everyone thrown into one label and pushed toxic medications to mask symptoms rather than understanding why! Some studies suggest fibromyalgia is an autoimmune disease - such as this one by Kings College London , suggests Fibromyalgia is actually more likely an autoimmune disorder, rather than previously stated neurological. Another study shows fibromyalgia likely connected to gut health! This study shows the connection between gut microbiome and pain, especially in fibromyalgia. Many professionals believe gut health and autoimmune disease are connected. Personally from my healing journey I agree with this wholeheartedly. Your gut is your second brain and believed to be the control centre for your entire body, if it is at dis-ease YOU will be too! There is also some suggestions that fibromyalgia is linked to a deficiency in essential vitamins and minerals - again this would make sense. Essential vitamins and minerals are just that - essential. If you are not fuelling your body with the ESSENTIALS it needs to function at optimum - It won't! This shows a connection between fibromyalgia and a magnesium deficiency. Magnesium is essential for your body to function with over 300 jobs in your body, needing magnesium resent! over 300! If you are lacking this mineral you body will warn you by signs such as muscle craps, spasm, burns, fatigue, brain fog, heart palpitations to name a few. Magnesium is also responsible for reducing the stress hormones cortisol - If you have fibromyalgia you will know stress can be a trigger for flare ups! Some studies also suggest low Vitamin D levels in fibromyalgia patience's. could be linked to pain and fatigue. In the UK our vitamin D levels are generally low due to the lack of sunshine! Your skin synthesises its own Vitamin D when exposed to UVB rays. Selenium is another essential mineral most fibromyalgia patience's appear to suffer from a deficiency in. Most vitamin and mineral deficiency's have the same common 'causes' these being Poor nutrition - foods rich in nutrition not being eaten, 'too much' processed foods being consumed. Poor good health - If your gut health is poor you will not be absorbing nutrients effectively. Pharmaceutical drugs - lots draw essential vitamins and minerals from your body! Coffee - caffeine does the same to your magnesium as medications - literally pulls it out of your body! Fuel your body to thrive, not just survive! Ready to take back control and stop allowing fibromyalgia to control your life? If you are at this stage in life - good news is I can help you! But in order to do so, you HAVE to be ready! Are you ready to consciously control what goes in your mouth? Are you ready to have a pain free life and wake up with energy? Are you ready to put in the work and make changes to your lifestyle? Are you ready to take back control and stop being a victim to fibromyalgia? If you answer yes to one or more of the previous statements then you are ready to heal! Get in touch and book a free consultation or pop over to 'services' to see what you are drawn too! Any questions please reach out!
